PERFUME DETAIL REVIEW
Pros: A sweet and warm scent that has a strong oriental vibe
Cons: The floral note can be overwhelming
Verdict: A scent for the winter day that allow you to feel cozy no matter where you go
In 2006, Kenzo introduced Kenzo Amour, a fragrance built around the sensual and aromatic note of Frangipani. Daphne Bugey, one of the perfumers of this perfume was so enamored with the scent of this flower on one of her trips to Indonesia, so she and Oliver Cresp have been working together since 2005 to develop the scent for Amour.
The scent of Kenzo Amour is an amalgamation of Asia finest essences. The perfume starts with a soft and attractive aroma of Frangipani which starts the whole journey. The composition continues with a thin milky aroma of Thailand rice, then took a trip North to China to introduce the calming note of white tea. The scent continues its trip to Japan where you can feel the radiant cherry blossom blooming. The scent finally stops and rests on a gorgeous base which includes woodsy, balsamic, and musky notes, and vanilla. Mysterious incense diffuses on your skin with a smoky, yet serene zen-like vibe that helps calm all your nerves before drying down to a musky vanilla trail.
Kenzo Amour was originally released with three volumes, and each of them is color coded. The 30ml (1 fl.oz.) bottle is in fuchsia color, the 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) is white and the 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) bottle is colored orange. They were designed with the shape and color that evoke the exotism of Asia by Karim Rashid.
This spicy fragrance makes it a fantastic choice for any casual occasion. With such a diverse collection of notes, Kenzo Amour is sure to draw attention to you wherever you go. Whether it's a night out with friends or a casual brunch with family, this perfume will bring you the compliments you want.
