Molton Brown is a London-based cosmetics house founded in 1973. Their products offer ‘well being’ therapies to help restore your inner equilibrium and allow your mind, body and spirit to feel at peace. By taking the best from tradition and technology, Molton Brown develops natural based problem solving formulas that meet their claims with integrity. The company is inspired by travel but remains unmistakably English. Their products are composed of potent and precious ingredients. Wide range of products includes shower gels, hand washes, shampoos, conditioners and fine fragrances, all synonymous with English luxury but used and loved all over the world.
The company has launched several fragrances for men and women so far, including one niche collection. This niche collection of fine fragrances is inspired by a tour around the world—Navigations Through Scent. This exquisite collection made of the finest ingredients arrived on the market in September 2011. The house introduces five fragrances, each of them representing one location along the ancient spice route: Egypt, China, Indonesia, England and Canada.
The perfumer of this collection is Jennifer Jambon, who works as the principal perfumer for Molton Brown. She traveled worldwide in search of unusual ingredients to integrate into the collection and stated: “It was my dream to develop an artisanal collection that not only captured the essence of the Molton Brown brand, but also fragrances which resonated with the wearer in a unique and personal way.”
The inspiration for the first fragrance of the collection, Iunu, is Egypt, one of the birthplaces of fragrance. This floral-spicy fragrance is based on white jasmine. China is represented by fruity-floral Lijiang created of osmanthus absolute. The scent of Indonesia is patchouli, embodied in spicy-woody fragrance Singosari. The central ingredient of green-aromatic Apuldre is juniper berry and it represents England. The last fragrance of the collection stands for Canada, its name is Rogart and the main aroma is fir balsam. It is a woody-fresh combination.
Flacons of these niche fragrances are all the same—very elegant, as if they were made of crystal. The see-through gems are topped with a silver stopper with inscribed names of fragrances.
Fragrances by Molton Brown are available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, Molton Brown’s own retail shops and on the official website. Designer Molton Brown has 65 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 2007 and the newest is from 2022.
